Shear Kindness is our second fundraising event of the year. However, instead of raising money, we raise (or cut) hair! Participants across UNT and TAMS come to donate their hair. Shorter cuts are donated to Matter of Trust, an organization that creates hair mats to clean environmental pollution such as oil spills. Longer cuts are donated to Children with Hair Loss, an organization creating wigs for kids with medically-related hair loss. Partnering with Subaru, we were able to donate over 360 inches of hair in the past 3 years over hosting this event! Shear Kindness is our way of giving back to the community as the year comes to a close.
